Derbri International, located in Culemborg, is a trading company selling upholstry to furniture manufacturers. Derbri is a strong player in the field of leather look fabrics. In the late nineties Derbri was the first European company in the upholstry market that took steps towards Asia. The first office was established in Seoul, South-Korea. Derbri subsequently opened an office in China. At the moment Germany is the main selling market in Europe, followed by Poland.
The production of upholstry mainly takes place in China and Indonesia, but countries in Serbia and other countries in the Balkans are emerging. The advantage of producing closer to the Netherlands is the shorter delivery time as a result whereof the company is able to react quickly to changes in the market and consumer needs. The current company structure of Derbri – with offices in Serbia and China, responds well to the wishes of the market.
