European Custom Manufacturing B.V., located in Gemert, was founded in 1993 and holds various patents in the field of medical divices . In 2011 the company was split up in two divisions:
ECM Europe B.V. is a production company for the assembly of medical tubing systems (MTS) for use in open heart surgery. ECM Europe assembles disposable custom tubing packs and sets for cardiac surgery (connections to heart-lungmachines) and intervention cardiology. The products of ECM Europe are mainly used in the Netherlands, Germany, Austria and Switserland. Customers are distributors competing with large cardio-vascular suppliers.
Medical Concepts Europe B.V. sells Temporary Pacing Wires that are used for heart monitoring after cardiac surgery. The production of these TPW is outsourced to a specialised company abroad.
